Dr. Steven Zuber is a Doctor of Internal Medicine at think. He likes taking care of people with chronic illnesses and making their overall quality of life better, as well as reducing their risk of future complications. He enjoys forming long-term relationships with those that he treats.

From a very young age, he has been interested in helping people, and also found a great interest in science. Primary care medicine is the perfect career that lets him combine both of these passions. Watching a close family member with heart disease be saved, and live for many more years, had a great impact on him.

What he loves about think is the team approach to quality care, and the freedom to concentrate on the person, not their medical problems, in order to form a great partnership moving forward. He hopes his patients see that he spends time explaining things to them, and that while he gives his best recommendations, they make decisions together.

Dr. Zuber loves exercising, being on the water, and spending time with family. He would love to spend time in different countries offering his skills to the less fortunate, but at the same time learning about their country and their culture.

She became interested in Medicine in High School at Marian High in Omaha. She had very strong biology and chemistry teachers who were excellent role models. What she likes most about working at think is the team approach it takes toward care.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading and being with her family, including her three grandchildren.

A Doctor of Internal Medicine here at Think, Dr. Timothy Crnkovich enjoys having the opportunity to help someone in a time of need. He has wanted to work in Medicine since high school, where he was inspired by his personal physician.

He has been inspired throughout his career by many of his patients and their individual journeys. What he loves about working at Think is the ability to provide high-quality care in a timely fashion. He appreciates being able to have results on most labs, x-rays, and imaging studies the same day, allowing him to conceive a plan of care, and have the staff close by to help implement it.

If asked, he hopes his patients would feel that he establishes a rapport with good interpersonal relationships, and that they have a two-way conversation marked by mutual respect and a little humor and wit.

When he isn’t working, Dr. Crnkovich enjoys sharing good food and fellowship with the people he is close to.

Dr. Robert Recker is a dedicated Doctor of Internal Medicine and the Chief Medical Officer at Think Whole Person Healthcare. With over 26 years of experience in Internal Medicine, Dr. Recker is committed to providing comprehensive care to his patients.

Dr. Recker completed his residency in Internal Medicine in 1997 and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Recker’s father, Robert Recker Sr., is a renowned researcher in bone mineral density and nutrition, which has influenced Dr. Recker’s interest in medicine and osteoporosis among other conditions.

He values think‘s holistic approach to healthcare, offering various services under one roof. He is passionate about improving the quality of care and ensuring his patients receive the best possible treatment. His decision to join think was driven by the opportunity to remain an independent practitioner while being part of a value-based, primary care-focused practice. He appreciates the innovative and patient-centered approach at think, which contrasts with the more specialist-driven focus of larger healthcare systems.

In his role as Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Recker works with leadership to analyze data, develop protocols, and improve healthcare programs. He also acts as a liaison between providers and administration, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Dr. Recker emphasizes the importance of primary care in preventing health crises and managing chronic conditions like hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, coronary disease, and osteoporosis. He also feels passionate about the importance of early detection and risk reduction, such as through CT scoring for cardiovascular disease, to improve his patients’ outcomes.

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Recker enjoys engaging in sports, exercise, reading, and home projects. He finds fulfillment in walking alongside his patients on their journey to better health.

Jessica Grosse is a Physician Assistant here at think, and is a firm believer in preventative care. She loves taking the time to make sure nothing “slips through the cracks” with patients’ healthcare maintenance.

She was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by her aunts, one a family practitioner and the other a pharmacist. She always knew she wanted to be involved in medicine in some way, and that seed of interest only grew as she got older.

Jessica’s mom suffered a large hemorrhagic stroke at age 53. From the ER, inpatient stay, and extended therapies her mother needs almost 18 years later, Jessica gained a profound appreciation for all the care involved. Especially because of this, she strives to ensure all patients and family members feel their voice is heard and their wishes are being honored.

She believes Ben Franklin’s quote that “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” and that it is in line with think’s mission to keep patients as healthy as possible by emphasizing healthcare maintenance and close communication on chronic conditions.

She’d like to think her patients would say she’s a good listener, that she takes the time needed with them, and that she has a good sense of humor that puts them at ease. She says, “I always want patients to feel better after seeing me, regardless of the medical diagnoses and treatments planned.”

Jessica and her husband have three kids who keep them quite busy, which is why she wakes up early to go to a fitness class or enjoy her morning coffee! She also loves to bike, hike, read, and travel when she can.

Cheryl is an FP/IM Physician Assistant here at think, and brings an enthusiasm for learning to work every day. The fact that the work environment is anything but static, and constantly presents new challenges, is exciting for her, allowing Cheryl to “stretch her brain” and constantly improve her skills.

Her interest in medicine began early on, with her career as a student athletic trainer in high school. Her experiences in athletic training led her to the PA profession.

Cheryl’s talent and skill can be seen in the number of loyal patients she has here at think. In fact, the number of people who followed her here after she left her previous clinic is one of the things she cherishes most about her career — some of those relationships go back almost 30 years, and hold a special place in her heart.

Cheryl hopes her patients see her as caring, approachable, and engaged in helping them feel comfortable, happy, and in charge of their own health. In her off-time, she loves to kayak and golf when the weather allows, and would someday love to travel to Iceland to see the Northern Lights.
