Lucille Woodard, MD

Lucille Woodard, MD, is a dedicated family medicine provider with deep roots in Omaha, Nebraska. After getting her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska Omaha and medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, she completed her residency at Clarkson Family Medicine in Omaha. Her career has taken her to many places, including a significant role as the Women’s Health Medical Director at the VA. Today, she cares for her patients at think, bringing considerable experience and knowledge, specifically with a passion for women’s health.

Dr. Woodard practices a holistic approach to medicine, considering the whole person, not just their symptoms. She is passionate about helping women of all ages with their unique health needs and understanding the stages and phases of life, from the pre-pregnancy arena, which is more of an adolescent time, to older women going through menopause. She used to lead a team at the VA, helping improve care for women, and she always makes sure to understand the specific needs of the less fortunate, ensuring they get the best care possible.

When she’s not at work, Dr. Woodard loves to read and is part of a book club called the Esoteric Book Club. She also enjoys working out on her Peloton bike, even though she sometimes struggles with back and neck problems. Dr. Woodard believes in living a healthy life and tries to set a good example for her patients by caring for herself. In addition to staying busy with her clinical and advisory roles, she has three children, a set of twins who are finishing their first year of college, and her oldest is in their second year of medical school.

Lucille Woodard, MD, teaches her patients to take control of their own health journey. She believes in treating the whole person. She says, “To be very honest, if we’re not treating the whole person, you will not get the desired outcome. We also need to understand how much our mind impacts our health.” At think, she is known for her caring approach and commitment to ensuring each patient gets personalized care to help them live their best lives.
