John Weremy, DPM
Podiatry
Dr. John Weremy is an established podiatrist and Fellow of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Orthopedics. With over three decades of experience, Dr. Weremy is committed to helping patients find immediate relief from foot pain, whether a simple corn removal or addressing more complex sports-related injuries.
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Weremy’s journey to podiatry took a unique turn. He initially enrolled at Creighton University School of Dentistry, only to discover that his hands weren’t cut out for dental work. A roommate suggested podiatry, and it was a perfect fit—one that’s led to over three decades of dedicated practice. He did his undergrad at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, IA. He has been a proud member of the American College of Podiatric Medicine ever since.
Dr. Weremy’s approach to care is rooted in a philosophy of conservative treatment. He believes many foot and ankle issues can be resolved without surgery, often through custom orthotics and other non-invasive methods. He’s particularly interested in how foot health impacts overall well-being, recognizing that a simple adjustment to your feet can alleviate issues as far-reaching as back pain.
What truly sets Dr. Weremy apart is his genuine connection with his patients. He’s not just here to treat your feet; he’s here to get to know you, to understand your lifestyle, and to provide care that fits into your life seamlessly. Many of his patients have trusted him to keep them moving comfortably for years, which is no surprise.
Outside the office, Dr. Weremy enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exploring Omaha’s culinary scene, and perfecting his golf swing. However, he quickly points out that golf can be challenging on the feet, deepening his appreciation for proper foot care.
Dr. Weremy is excited to be part of Think Whole Person Healthcare, where he’s looking forward to continuing his tradition of compassionate, effective care. He’s here to treat your feet and enhance your overall quality of life, one step at a time.
