Alexandra Harvey, LIMHP
Behavioral Health
Alexandra Harvey, LIMHP, is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner at think. She grew up in Pleasanton, Nebraska, a small rural town, and participated in many activities, including sports, band, drama, and community events. Alexandra earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, and her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
When Alexandra was in college, she wasn’t sure what career to pursue, so she tried many different courses to find what she enjoyed. An introductory counseling class changed everything. After class, a classmate told her that out of 26 students, only two seemed truly meant for this field, and Alexandra was one of them. This encouraging moment sparked her interest in psychology and counseling, leading her to a career helping individuals, couples, adolescents, and families with depression, anxiety, relationships, parenting, and similar challenges.
For Alexandra, Whole Person Healthcare is about seeing the bigger picture of someone’s life, not just their mind and body. She considers things like environment, relationships, culture, and daily life. In therapy, she meets clients where they are, helps them figure out their goals, and works together to find and overcome any obstacles. Her goal is to help clients find new ways of thinking and living that improve their well-being.
Alexandra joined think because of its strong emphasis on preventative and holistic care, values she believes are still not the norm in much of healthcare. She enjoys working alongside like-minded professionals who are genuinely committed to people’s long-term health and flourishing, and she appreciates how think’s integrated model makes comprehensive, proactive support more accessible to the community.
Clients often say Alexandra is genuine, nonjudgmental, and very enthusiastic about her work. Since she is a visual learner, she often uses a whiteboard in sessions to draw diagrams, show how ideas connect, and make complex topics clearer. Many clients like to take photos of these drawings to review later or share with family and friends, finding them helpful for remembering and using what they learned.
Outside of her practice, Alexandra enjoys reading, listening to music, painting, spending quality time with friends and family, and being with her dogs. These creative, relational, and restorative activities help her maintain balance and bring fresh energy to her work supporting others through their mental health journeys.
