Christine Hunter is a think Physician Assistant who enjoys working in Family Medicine, and has a special interest in Female Health and Pediatrics. She loves that this field allows her to make a real difference in people’s lives by helping them feel healthier and happier. Christine earned her Bachelor’s degree at Des Moines University and her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at UNMC.

She first realized that she wanted to go into Medicine when she was in high school. After volunteering at her local hospital, she learned how much she enjoyed helping others. Once, while working in a small-town ER, she encountered a mother with a nine-month-old who was choking and gagging on an easily-removed fortune cookie wrapper. For Christine, that moment acts as a personal reminder that even the simplest treatments can have life-changing effects.

At think, she appreciates that we offer a wide range of services available to the patients. This allows faster, cheaper, and better treatment options. She also enjoys the staff that she works with, and her corner room with a great view. She hopes that her patients find her to be caring and patient.

Christine enjoys reading, bicycling, and has recently taken up quilting during the pandemic. She would love to travel somewhere with a white beach and blue waters.

Chris Jeffrey, MD

Family Medicine

Dr. Chris Jeffrey is a Family Physician here at Think, and earned her medical degree at UNMC. She has interests in Women’s, Child, and Adolescent Health, but enjoys taking care of just about any condition.

Dr. Jeffrey first knew she wanted to go into medicine when she was seven years old, visiting her grandfather in the hospital as he was dying of prostate cancer. She was fascinated by everything she saw and heard, and wasn’t scared at all.

Chris enjoys seeing her patients in an atmosphere that makes it easy to care for them. She has a lot of resources that she can access easily here at Think, and she feels that makes for a better experience for them, allowing her to provide a higher level of care.

She gets excited by the little victories that her patients experience, and hopes that her patients would say that she’s a good listener, and that she truly cares about them.

Dr. Jeffrey enjoys painting and creating things. She currently has plans to build a treehouse and “she shed” in her yard. She loves her dogs and enjoys spending time playing with them outdoors. If money were no object, she would happily return to the Catalonia region of Spain and buy an olive vineyard.

Charles Stoner, MD

Dr. Charles Stoner, MD, grew up in Kentucky and Southwest Iowa, where he graduated high school. He continued his education at Creighton University, completing his undergraduate studies and medical school there. Following medical school, Dr. Stoner pursued his residency in family practice at Truman Medical Center-East in Kansas City, Missouri.

Since 2003, Dr. Stoner has been dedicated to serving patients in West Omaha. He is a proud member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Stoner strongly believes in the power of preventive medicine and managing chronic conditions. He emphasizes the importance of nutrition and exercise, highlighting their significant impact on overall health. Dr. Stoner embodies the principles of whole-person healthcare, focusing on all aspects of a patient’s well-being. He finds immense satisfaction in early diagnosis through screenings, recognizing its positive influence on patients’ lives.

Dr. Stoner’s journey to medicine began in ninth grade with a career awareness class. Interviewing his own family physician sparked his initial interest in the field. His patients appreciate his approachable nature, describing him as easy to talk to.

In his free time, Dr. Stoner enjoys staying active through jogging and cherishes moments spent reading, attending family gatherings, and experiencing new cultures. He also aspires to one day visit Jerusalem.

Abe Farhat, MD

As an Omaha native, Dr. Abe Farhat is very pleased to be a Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine physician at think. He was drawn to Think Whole Person Healthcare due to its physician-centered approach and its emphasis on delivering high-quality, high-efficiency healthcare.

Dr. Farhat completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and then went into the Peace Corps in Madagascar. He had planned on majoring in chemistry in graduate school following his time with the Peace Corps, but saw the meaningful impact being made by doctors while abroad and felt called to medicine. Upon returning to the United States, he worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant while completing prerequisites and applying to medical school.

He enjoyed every rotation in medical school but chose family medicine which allowed for flexibility in shaping his career. While encountering many patients with substance use disorders in the primary care setting during residency, Dr. Farhat desired a higher level of competence in their treatment; he took one additional year of training to complete an addiction medicine fellowship.

When Dr. Farhat is not working, he loves spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys many outdoor activities, including cycling, hiking, camping, swimming, and flying drones.
